I have an 88 xr4ti with the lema engine ,I have searched many forums none of them have the answer. I was wondering if someone could help?ive replaced coils , coil packs, spark plugs, distributor cap, distributor rotor and other ignition parts , ignition does not seem to be the problem. i checked for a boost leak and could not locate any. Even after all of this the boost lowered around 5psi than about a month later it did the exact same thing I need help The symptoms include
*low boost
*misfiring(skipping when boost starts to build)
*Ping
*I have not noticed any excessive white smoke
