Hey guys, got a few questions about an '89 Merkur XR4Ti that i just bought. I know its not an svo but it has the same 2.3T in it.
Anyway, so i just cant get this thing to get spark. heres what i've replaced: TFI, coil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor. I have voltage going into the coil but no spark coming out. The only thing i haven't checked is if the rotor is spinning when i crank the engine.
So i guess i'm asking for suggestions on what to check next. Is it possible that that PIP has failed? If so, would it be better just to get a whole new distributor for good measure?
