2.75 blower pulley?

I just ordered a 2.75 pulley from ASP and it iwll be here thursday. I was on another website and a few peopl told me that I will prolly make less boost because it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get the SC belt to grip. Is this true? Vortech claims 14-15 psi off just that pulley. You would think they would mention something about belt slippage and not being able to get that much PSI wouldnt they?

Belt slippage with a Vortech is very common, their tensioner system isn't the best. I've used the 2.75" and had no issue getting 12-14psi, however it was with some decent belt tension (more then recommended!!! and this will put stress on the snout of the crank and front bearing) and we had a 7" crank pulley. YOu are much better off swapping out the crank pulley to increase boost.

Im running a 2.75 on my novi 1000 now with a power pipe i get 10 psi.Iit gave me about 2 to 3 psi more prob more on yours. It does have more belt slip but it will get to full boost. Sometimes it holds at 10 then drops off for a sec then right back to 10. I did try to put some belt dressing on it but did not try it yet.

seems a little more sticky makes the belt fell softer.
