OK I have searched this forum and think I am ready to move forward with my suspension/wheels upgrade. I have an 04 GT. My plan is to put some 18x9's in front on 265/35/18's and 18x10's in the rear on 295/35/18 tires and drop the suspension 2" with the Eibach Sportlines. Please advise if anyone see's any problems with this or if there is something else I need to do in addition. I am concerned about a 2" drop(maybe it should be 1.5" ) being too low with the rear 295's. Also, should I get it realigned after everything is installed? Thanks for any help/advise on this.

You will have to be extremely carefull with your stage 3 front on parking curves. Also if you plan on getting long tubes plan on staying clear of speed bumps. I have the Ford C-springs approx 1 1/2 drop and 18" rims and I just clear parking curbs with my stage 2 front and my cats still scrape on larger speed bumps. I personally will not go lower for drivability. Here is a pick

Beautiful car man. I have the 00R front end with the splitter and I also have the eibach pro-kit. I don't catch anything under the car on bumps but the bumper takes some abuse on steep inclines. I 2'' its pretty extreme for a DD just some advice go with c-springs, or the prokit. But its your car do what ever makes you happy. I'm also running 18x10 saleens w/285's out back and I plan to fit 315's on there come spring. No fitment issues

Thanks everyone. It sounds like a 2" drop might be too extreme for me. I think I will get the wheels (18" deep dish Bullitt's) installed and go from there. I took some measurements and this is what I came up with on the stock setup:

Back tire wheel space = 3 1/2" gap
Front tire wheel space = 3 1/4" gap
Side of the front bumper = 6 1/2" from ground
Front of bumper = 7 3/4" from ground

I should be ok with a 1 1/2" drop at the most but I will take new measurements after the install to help decide on the amount to drop.
Thanks again!

I have those size wheels/tires with H&R Supersports, which are a pretty good drop. Just be careful over speedbumps, go diagonal over them SLOWLY, I've tapped my midpipe (Magnaflow catted X) a couple times on them. No damage or anything, just a little warning shot. :nice:
