Cruise control buttons run to 3 wires in the steering column. If you want to use the OFF button, connect a grounding input from term X to the light blue/black wire. When you hit off, it will close the circuit to ground.

Keep in mind, you will now lose cruise and your horn. Disconnect the other yellow/LG wire or you run the risk of sending 12V to this input and damaging something.

is there no way to keep the horn?

yes i did, is there any way you could dumb down using a relay for me? like a relay to switch between the 2 step, then say wiring it to the horn or cruise control, so i can switch the two, how would i go about wiring one up and what wires go to what terminals?

Toggle switch on the wire coming from horn/cogar. One side keeps the wiring standard, the other flips to a grounded input on termX

Flip the toggle and now the horn can be used as a 2-step. Flip it again and all functions revert to normal.
