Looking at going with 20x8.5" Bullit rims. The tires will be mounted and balanced then shipped.

All I need to do is get the front end aligned once there on. Need to know about the following:

How's the ride quality with 255x35x20 Nitto's 555 extreme's?

How about Castner Camber plates, will I need to install them?

Thanks in advance for you help!!!

Unless you have a tire wear problem now you don't need to align your car when you get your new wheels and tires. If you were to lower the car you'd need a alignment and either camber plates or camber bolts depending on how much you lowered the front end. I bought my car with 20's on it right from the dealer the the same tire you are getting, the rid is not to bad, I have 46,000 mile on the tire and lots of tread left on them too. Post some pictures when you get them on !!

can't speak of the 20's, but i have had numerous sets of Nitto 555's, and still do to this day, you will not be disappointed in any way. as for aligning the front end, you won't have to worry about it with just a wheel swap. but if you are lowering car any at all, it's going to need an alignment after it's done, even if it don't change any, it's best to have an alignment done, and then you know for sure...

Thanks for the replys!!

I had 555's on my 94 GT, and I loved them. Quite ride and fantastic in the rain. I had the Ford Cobra 17x9 rims with (255x45x17) tires in front and 17x10 (285x40x17) out back.

This time around I want to be able to rotate them instead of doing the staggered, and the cost of the 285's are crazy. I have the oem front springs along with the Roush rear springs. They dropped the rear just enough to level it out.

No alignment problem and as mentioned no lowering on the front so I should be good with the current alignment. I'll have the Goodyear shop double check just to be sure.

American Muscle aka Mustang Tuning is where I'm buying and they have great prices on the rim & tire combo.

I'm thinking that with the 255/35/20 it should fill the wheel wells quite nicely.

Thanks again for the info. I'll post up photo's once there on.

Thanks, Dewman
