I Just got my Procharged 2005 GT Dynoed today. With a set of MAC Mufflers and A ProCharger kit @ 9 PSI, with the supplied Diablosport Predator Tune the car made 470 RWHP and 394 FTLBS of torque. Even if you say the stock baseline HP was a high 270 (more like 260) thats a 200 HP gain. That translates into about a 550 HP monster. The car drives totally well mannered. No idle problems, no cold start problems, Nothing. The fuel pump does max out about 5200 RPM, but then levels out. Diablo set the car up very rich. My A/F was 10:1 until about 6100 Rpm when it dropped to 11:1, then to 12:1 @ 6700 RPM. A higher volume pump should rectify that. I am going to have the car tuned with SCT software, to fine tune it. But I just want potential buyers to know, that this latest version of the diablo tune would probably be sufficient for an average stangbangers needs. Im am very pleased with my $32,000 investment pumping out 550 HP.

VERY nice #s. But your running 470RWHP and spinning to 6700RPMs on the stock short block? Everyone keeps saying that the 05s are weaker than the 99-04s....but I can tell you, I doubt our engines would last one pull to 6700RPMs W/ 470RWHP. The 05s MUST be alot stronger. And everone was worried about them handling any boost.

very nice indeed!

i know of a guy with a 00 gt that dyno'd over 400rwhp on teh stock block/internals and highly recommends not to go over 450rwhp. thats about max so yeah, the new stangs have to be built pretty solid... only time will tell

Definitely good results. Now all ya need are some suspension mods, new sticky tires and a lot of track time to improce that high 12 second run of yours.

Do let us know if and when you blow that block. Watch your high reving with that much boost too, 6700 is pretty far up there. I hope that it doesnt give but I will post that I bet it does before long. I hope for your car's sake that Im wrong.

I have taken my blown 01 Cobra up to 7k a few times, and 6800 many times on 9.5psi. it's all in the tune man i have a very conservative tune for reason.

Although someday i may blow her up but thats the way it is sometimes

Good numbers and good to hear your opinion about the canned tune that comes with it. Mine should be here anyday and I am slightly worried about the Diablo tune

Well according to my sources, Diablos tune has varied from car to car. Mine appears to have a good tune. I received it on 5/31. I think it has to do with how your computer reacts to where the MAF is. Mine runs awesome. As far as holding up to 7000 rpm shifts and 9 PSI, no one knows for sure. I ran six passes at a strip, with 7 grand shifts, no problem. also three dyno pulls, same way. The car acts no different. With plenty of fuel, cool intake air temps (due to the intercooler) and some good oil, I see no problem, and ive had tons of experience with forced induction cars. (4 bangers, sixes and eights). My max power is at 6700RPM. Maybe Ill cut the limiter back a bit. Nahhh...

ProCharger does claim 469 RWHP in their ads/brochure. They arent kidding. A manufacturer actually didnt inflate numbers...amazing

The shop I used didn't use the Diablo tune. It was a custome dyno tune using the Diablo tune & the SCT tune as a reference. The Diablo tune was very rich. My final A/F was 11.7:1. The shop I used understood my concern over the impact of this much boost on a new car so they were conservative, which is what I wanted. Mine was not dyno'd past 6000 rpm on a loaded Mustang dyno and that reached 372 rwhp (=420 dynojet rwhp). We replaced the fuel pump with a Walbro 255LPH to address the lower presure at higher rpm.

470 rwhp is outstanding Nolyaw! Enjoy!

Then the techs find evidence that you voided your warranty. Have a nice day then. Like I said, hope that it doesnt happen.

high engine speeds hav little bearing on the 'tune'. It will concern actual physical components, such as the valve train. Cam dependant but running a stock setup you will be likely to see valve float at too higher rpms. Also the bottom end may not like high rpms due to the inertia involved.

Your car won't run any worse runnning high, but it will probably go BANG in spectacular fashion with little or no warning.

I don't know what the limiting factor is for the 4.6 modular unit, but Ford put a rev limit on it for a reason. And that reason will undoubtable be reliability related, adding a blower and then exceeding that limit without any futher mods is a recipe for disaster.

Well usually, the techs can't even find their dicks, so I think I'll be okay. Thanks for your concern. Good luck with that fresh idea of an auto!!

Recipe for FUN!!! I'm not pushing it nearly as hard as some other guys I've talked to personally. I guess we will see how they hold up, when all the guys with a pair of actually start putting real money and power to their s197's.If I already have $7000 in extras done to the car with 1700 miles on it, I'm not against putting in a $5000 short block eventually. May it come sooner or later, someone will have what I need. I'm one of the guys you see and read about in the mags. My Ford 2.3 turbo was featured in Feb. '98 Muscle Mustangs &fast fords, it had 23 lbs of boost, blah, blah, blah and everything else and was strong as hell.I realize its a different ballgame, but somebodys gotta be the one to do this stuff. If everyone was conservative, you guys would never have anything to read about.

hay I got no probs with OTT, in fact its my middle name. But even ballsy ideas must adhere to physics.

Good luck and keep us informed with how it goes.

Did you put an intercooler with this kit? Was this done on pump gas?
