Nope, not reusable - I know for a fact because I've been through two - three sets of head gaskets when I had problems. The only ones I would even attempt to reuse would be the valve cover and upper intake (if they're reasonably new) otherwise it's another $200-$300 for new gaskets depending on what you're doing.

Head gaskets, timing cover, valve cover, upper and lower intake, etc.

I talked to Scott @ VTEngine when I had my head problems. I had just replaced ALL of the gaskets you mentioned, except the oil pan. I asked the same question "Can I re-use any of the nearly NEW gaskets I just installed?" His answer to me was no, they need to be replaced.

Hope it helps.

If your running a boosted application.. the best choice for head gaskets is Cometic. They run $180-$220 for a pair but they are the best head gasket you can buy. And I agree with Jay, you will need to replace all the gaskets. Once their bolted/torqued down once, they will never seal the same again.

I called Cometic and talked to them about an alternative thickness on the head gaskets for a 2000 4.6 - I was quoted $250 for a pair of .067" gaskets. I was trying to accomplish two things - lower compression and provide additional PTV clearance (due to paranoia from a bad experience).

If you decide to go with Cometic, order early - they usually have about a 10 day lead time unless someone has them in stock.
