2000 Cobra R rear end

Hey, is there a difference in the Cobra R rear end as opposed to the 2000 Mustang or 2001 Mustang/Cobra? I have a knock in the rear end when turning sharp right periodically and trying to find a manual so I can look into it.

A 2000 Cobra R should be IRS. Far as I can find the halfshafts are upgraded, and it's a 31 spline setup. 01 and 03/04 Cobras ran this (the 01 axles are not as strong though). 99 Cobra ran a 28 spline version. All the other Mustangs of this era are solid axle.
