Okay so I've had my car for a few months now and do this do not know how to activate just the accesories on the car like the radio without turning it to the on position. The manual says to insert the key and turn it back one position but mine doesn't do it. Is there some kind of trick for this or am I just an idiot? I've tried turning it back but it just won't go.

"Accessory" position is indeed turned toward you, rather than away from you when starting the engine.

Push in and turn back.

I put the key in and it still won't turn back at all. My bronco has the same type of ignition and it goes right back without a problem.

Steering wheel locked? Try turning the wheel when twisting back the key.

Try that...usually I do this on accident when I go to take the key out. 00' GT here and mine does it.

No No. I'm not talking about taking the key out at all. I 'm talking about the accesory position to turn the radio on with out the key in the on position. I can get the key out no problem its just that it won't turn back to accesory.

So if its broken what part do I need to pick up? I looked up the ignition switch but it doesn't look right. Also just found out I may have frame damage or a bent k member so not a great day for me.

No we're not telling you how to take the key out. We're saying that you press the same little switch that you press to pull the key out but instead turn the key towards you and thats how you do it.
