2000 MAF Work on a 02

I was installing my cold air kit from a 2000 GT onto my brothers 02 GT and the MAF sensor broke. Now since I have a blower on my car, i have my old MAF sensor. My question is, will mine work on his car. They are calibrated for the same injectors, but they are different inside, his seems to be mroe free flowing. Thanks.

I don't think it will. My 02, at least, has the IAT (intake air temp) sensor integrated into the MAF. I think the earlier car had a separate IAT sensor that plugged into the duct behind the MAF. Does the harness on the car match the connector on the older MAF?

No they don't match...you'd have to do some fabricating to plumb the IAT in and wire it separately.

All of the above plus in '02 Ford changed the size of the MAF. I think they went from an 80 to 85mm so the car may not respond the same way with the one off the 00.

Yep, what turboscrew said...the 99-01 had an 80mm MAF, then in 02 they went to an 85mm MAF, with an integrated IAT.
