I think you can do it. it will probably sit higher b/c the 00 springs are stifferor they might have a longer throw. i think. check part numbers

Are you trying to raise or lower your car? A good set of lowering springs would be much better for the car than 2000 GT springs.

Yes, but it will lift up the 88 an inch or so.

The 2000 springs are not that much better anyway. The shocks are decent though

My brother just bought a 00 GT with upgraded shocks and springs. Since I have a cracked spring in my car I was gonna throw his stock stuff on til I redo the whole suspension over the winter. this will just buy me some time thats all........

it will raise the car an inch at least.. front or rear springs.. but either way the car will sit like a 4x4.. if anythign cut 3/4 of a coil to drop the spring height to the stock fox length... or take out one stock spring and cut the 00gt spring the same height..

and yes the 00gt springs are stiffer.. since the weight of a 00gt is heavier

Thanks for the replies!

So it won't be a bad thing to cut the springs down? Also are the shocks longer since the car is higher?

cutting a stock spring that will sit you higher anyway wont really be a bad thing, but it wont really be a good thing either due to the nature of the spring its going to make the car ride like crap.

There is also less travel in the front struts, so unless you raise the top mount via CC Plates and or Lower the Bottom Mount via SN95 Spindles you run the risk of bottoming out the Struts, not good!
