Ok guys, I know you all think it is easier to just sell it or trade it in for a GT. But I have serious sentimental value in this car! I don't even know if you guys would understand. But anyways, I have a 2000 v6 mustang and now I also have everything from a 2001crown vic (actually the most of the car). I already have an 8.8 rearend in the mustang with 4.10 gears and a locker. I know I will probably need a driveshaft, brake booster, and gt suspension springs. I need to know a few things for sure..... Do I need a different K-member or will either one work? Will the wiring from the V6 computer fit the V8 computer and will it plug into the V8 engine harnessOr will I need the V8 harness from the computer to the engine? Do I need the V8 guage cluster? Do I need a different tranny mount? Is the Crown Vic 4.6L the same or at least compatible with the mustang 4.6L? Oh and if you were wondering I have a garage and all the tooling and skills necessary to do the job, I just need help with the specifics. If anyone has done this swap and has any advice or just has any advice please help me out!

You will also need a new radiator and fan...I did the same thing in my 97...

K member should work...use the harness from the V8...hardest part is the programming and the PATS system..

don't forget the exhaust..

old gauges will be fine...I still have my 120's in there!

If you have any other questions, I will help the best I can..

Use a puter/harness from a 98+ car that way u can tune it with a handheld (more user friendly than 96-97).

Best bet is to find a donor wrecked gt to source most of what you need. That guages/odometer work with the puter so remember that on your puter selection.
