2001 cobra sequential tail lights

i admit it -- i am obsessed with trying to put sequential tail lights on my 2001 cobra -- have a product that fits perfectly -- but the wiring is the problem -- everybody i talk to says it can't be done -- is there anyone out there that can help me understand why it can't be done -- or -- better yet --how it might be done -- in my feeble mind -- it is just a wiring issue -- i have schematics on the 2001 and i think a 2003 -- i put in a dash infotainment unit and back up camera -- many thanks

many thanks for the reply -- i don't remember if i saw that kit or not -- but the $ 400 price tag cures my obsession very quickly -- i could swallow hard and put out $250 for the kit i got from CARiD.com -- (Spec-D® - Driver and Passenger Side Chrome/Smoke Sequential Fiber Optic LED Tail Lights) -- i was assured that it would work on a 2001 cobra but the wiring isn't a plug and play -- in the end i got to keep the tail lights and a full refund to boot -- so all i need now is someone who understands the taillight / brake light wiring setup on the cobra and enjoys a good challenge --

i have not given up -- the sequential lights fit my 2001 cobra and work about half way -- i replaced the old 6 pin connector with something newer on both sides -- the issue is still 5 wires from the car -- 4 wires to the sequential lights -- they respond correctly to the turn signal but if you apply the brakes -- all lights come on -- looking at schematics for a 2001 mustang, page 90-1 turn/stop/hazard lamps -- follow the brake light dark green wire to S323 where it splits -- for the cobra DG goes directly to the rear lights -- for a standard mustang (except cobra on the schematic) -- the DG goes to pin 511 of the multifunction switch -- then to the rear lights -- so my plan is to find those 2 DG wires in the dash -- put bullet connectors in them -- take 1 out of the system -- run the other to the MFS and hope i can shove it in pin 511 --

any suggestions, comments, advice -- to include -- "you are nuts" -- sincerely appreciated --
