Does anyone have experience repairing a frame where the sway bar was ripped out on the driver's side? Daughter's GT skidded off the road as a result of some ice and hit something that caused significant damage underneath starting with the radiator support and of course the sway bar mount.

Any thoughts?

Some thoughts: Replace broken swaybar brackets and associated bent pieces. Probably need alighnment. I have no experience with the job. Linked videos will help give some visual heads up hopefully. A local garage like a reputable midas or the sort might be in order. Takes pictures of damage to local garage for ballpark estimates maybe?

Here’s a replacement sway bar bracket if you don’t want to straighten the old one

Mustang Front Lower Sway Bar Mounting Bracket (94-04) F4ZZ5486A

Factory replacement lower sway bar mount to replace your damaged or broken factory component.

you need to hammer that sheet metal back flat. Then the two bolts slip in the wide hole and then fit in the slot. Raise the sway bar bracket up and secure with nuts. Yours are prob fine but here’s a pic for reference.

No welding unless the metal tore. Hard to see if it tore or just bent. Basically the rail acts as a t-slot. The studs slip in and then you sandwich the rail when you tighten it up
