2001 V6 mustang engine swap

Just came into possession of my father's 2001 mustang. I don'thave too much information on the the mustang but I was wondering what my best options for swapping a new v6 into it would be. Looked into swapping a V8 but realized it was more work than it's worth.

Thanks for the input! I might also just put another v6 into the car due to some issues with the existing engine. Don't know if I should go with another mustang engine or find another compatible engine.

I would look for a low mile V6 to toss in there and just enjoy the car.

It is generally much cheaper and way less ass pain to buy a V8 car vs. a conversion.

Yeah, just looked into it. Sounds painful and I'd rather keep my dad's car because it's been in the family for a while.

That's what came to mind when you said it was your dad's. If anything, restore it to as close to OEM as you possibly can and hand it down to your kids.
