I'm new to this forum and hope that this is allowed but just wanted to pass this on in hopes to help the next guy that might have the same type of issue. Just this morning my dad's car would turn over and over but never would start. Like it wasn't getting any fuel. It was 14 degrees this morning so dad thought that it was just cold and really didn't want to mess with it but that didn't sound like it was the issue to me. After reading up about the issue, and checking fuses, wires and everything else people suggested I ran across a post on here from years ago where someone had mentioned checking the schrader valve. My dad's car is an 02 but the guy that he bought it from said it had an 03 motor. Some people were saying that year doesn't have that valve but i looked anyway, not being completely sure of the motor setup in his car. Sure enough it was there, and and after pressing the valve pin in, that look just like the one on a tire valve stem and cranking the engine over at the same time it blew out quite a bit of air then finally the fuel came blowing out of it and it fired right up. He was ready to just take it to the shop and have them look at it, but it was really just that easy of a fix. BTW I tried listening for the fuel pump to turn on with the key being turned on and off and I couldn't hear it so don't jump to conclusions and start throwing money at it thinking it's bad. Glad we didn't but that's what first led to us to believe that the pump was bad.
