2002 GT with gear problem...

02 GT, 5 spd, 50k miles w/ only cold air intake and exhaust mod.

When I take off quick and go into 2nd the car starts to jerk then levels out.
But only in 2nd. Gears 3-5 I have no problem. Going 80mph no problem. I pulled the parking break, put the car in 2nd and gave it gas. The clutch did not whine and the car started to move forward.

Does this happen every time? I know that when mine is cold and I hit second hard it cuts off. Only when the enging is cold..

no it will do it when ever.....but if I take off normal it wont do it. only when i get on on it. and it just started doing this like last week.

Do u mean it like "bucks" when u shift from 1st to 2nd, and ease onto the gas a bit to get up to the speed limit? Because if THATS the case, thats just the car being torquey

its after i let off the clutch and give it gas.. its not the cars normal behavior....

Yeah that "bucking" im talking about it just the car being punchy, and its after you let off the clutch and give it gas. But if its not that, that you say you're talking about. I have no idea what it is...go get it checked out

Now that it's starting to warm up my car is doin the same thing. It's because your used to driving around in cold weather with no traction and chirping gears. Now that you have traction it is boggin and then pullin hard.
