Thought this would be a no brainer but after searching I have found nada. '05 is still 8.8 but with 31 spline axles now and that is about it. Hard to believe this has not come up many times before.
I have complete rear end out of a 05 GT another guy has a 02 GT and wants to buy mine to put in his. So before I sold it I was going to make sure it would fit his needs so the guy wasn't stuck with something he couldn't use
For a list of interchange parts try this. Go to www.car-part and look up the part in question (2002 GT 8.8 rear end). Look at the list of "other" model years and applications that come up.
When I do the search the interchange comes up 1999-2004 Mustang GT.
