2003 4.6 L Purchase

Ya Id agree with the other replies. $8,000 seems a bit much, certainly not a bad deal, but if you can knock down his price, definitely do it.

That car appears to be insanely clean and well taken care of. If everything checks out mechanically & it doesn't require any major repairs/maintenance right now I'd give it the green light. Offer $7k & see where it goes. I paid $9,900 for my 00' GT (70k miles) 5 years ago off of a used Toyota lot & it came with an extended 2 year warranty. At the time it was an excellent deal considering the relative expense of things here in the Bay Area.

$8k is probably a decent price for that car, but to echo what the others said make sure to execute some due diligence and then wave a lower amount of cash under their noses. I hate to say it but I think this generation of Mustang is currently plummeting in value, but that puts you in control as a buyer.

That thing looks really clean!. I'd start @ $6500 and go from there. They are a dealer so work em hard and they make you a better deal than $8000. They need to sell it that's how they make money keep that in mind! I like it except yellow lol even yellow on a ferrari kills it for me.. reminds me too much of piss haha

If it is a dealership and they're giving you a warranty and the car is optioned out and you're seriously not gonna do anything but a cai and cat-back then I'd say it is a pretty good deal. But try to get an even better deal. Aim for $6K.

I actually think the yellow is cool, I dont see very many New Edge GT's with yellow. I think with some blacked out wheels it would look sick.

I picked my 01 up a few months ago. I shopped for almost two months before this car popped up and I bought it same day. Having less then 130k and already having long tubes, high flow cat's, lowering springs, HID lights, short throw shifter, and a receipt for $1200 in a rear end rebuild with 3.73 gears for an asking price of 5k I actually got him down to 4500 because of worn leather seats and the drivers door is starting to sag. I think I got a good deal. Paint is an 8 out 10 only a few scratches and door dings. Interior is probably a 7 out of 10.

Sadly our cars resale values have plummeted due to the age and the new 5.0 motor. Still doesn't mean a completely stock low mile GT cant ask for $8,000. Problem is finding a bank that finances loans for older cars. Back in 2008 when I bought my GT I paid $10,500 and it had 68,000 miles on it.
