I'm in the market for a Mustang.. and I'm not sure which path I want to go.

Either spend the extra (not exactly sure how much additional it is) for the Cobra, or go with a Convertible GT. As far as modding a GT, I know Cobra's take mods very well, how does it go with the GT?

What's the average difference in cost? From what I've seen it's ~4k, but I'm not sure if I'm looking in the wrong place and if someone could point me in the right direction.

Long story short, is the cost-benefit really there for the Cobra? Or is going with a GT the smarter decision?

Thanks

If you can afford the payment, get the Cobra hands down. The Cobra has better suspension, brakes, engine, transmission, interior, and the list goes on...

To hell with paying the extra cash that a Convertible costs. Get a 4V Mach at least, or the Cobra for the ensane power.

If you get a GT you may always be in envy of the cobra. If you have the money to spend for the cobra, you will not be disappointed.

I was stuck in your same position. Heres what I did.

I bought this. Just make sure it has one of these.

Then you won't have to worry about such tough decisions. haha. j/k

But did you ever think about maybe looking for a well put together GT? I mean I know the cobra is a great car but the price is high and I just couldn't afford the payments. I found this car and told the dealer that since it was modified I wouldn't even pay KBB for it. I knew all the mods were done 100% high quality but the dealer agreed since it was modified he would keep the price low. I agree with everyone else though if you can afford the cobra just get it but make sure you get a nice one. I'd rather have a nice well maintained GT than a beat high mileage cobra. Just my .02 though.

Not the responses I expected, but the points are pretty good.

The difference in cost is around 4-6K, correct?

Or am I wrong
