I want to order some rims from LMR. They have a 17x9 set. I want to run 245/45/17 up front and 275/45/17 in the rear on my 93 Coupe. I have all 4 fenders rolled already. I have BMR rear control arms, so the "quad shock" fitment issue in the rear should be solved already. Will the 245/45/17s up front (Nitto G2 tires) work out ok? There are lots of posts saying it works/looks good, but a few posts say the 245 is bad on a 9" rim.

Visually, it's going to be close.
Depending on how wide those nittos run, they may looked stretched.
Nitto's are known to run narrow.
I'd probably consider a 255 40 17.
While on the surface you are going to lose about 3/4 inch in height, you also will loose height with a stretched tire.

I like to use the 1010tires calculator.

Hmm... I got 17x9 on 255/40, fronts.10th anniversery wheels and they rub on my control arm. Put 1 in. spacers on and still rubbing. Lol. Gained a ton of steering angle before rubbing tho.

I'm running the 245 tires up front on mine. I was gonna try a spacer too, but I would have needed longer studs. Otherwise, I had only a few threads for the lug nuts. That was with only a 5mm spacer too.

I hear that. PITA for a lil bit of spacing. The backspacing or offset is prolly different between these wheels. 255 came on the car, tire still good. But ill be going to 245 or 235 next.
