2003 GT cluster issue

My Speedometer stopped working and my odometer lights up with last mileage, won’t roll and turns to dashes after a minute or so. I checked VSS, wiring and connector. It does have a calibration module on it. I’ve only owned the car for a couple months. Got a P0720 code, OutputShaft speed sensor circuit code. Only thing I did electrically was install rear camera. Issues started after not immediately. Checked everything I could. I’m about to have cluster sent out for rebuild. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I start shooting in the dark.

What have you done to address the code? I'm not familiar with New Edges and all their electronics but it sounds like if there is a problem with the outputshaft speed sensor not working correctly the cluster can't log or calculate and speedometer or odometer readings correctly and just gives up reverting to dashses.

I tried an aftermarket sensor with no results, put the old back in.

ForScan is helpful here. These cars are the beginning of being module based, so DTC's regarding communication issues will show up if you check DTC's within ForScan. That will give a better clue as to how to start chasing this down. ForScan can also help with IC module programming and PATS key setup if it comes to that and the cluster needs to be replaced.
