After 10+ years of owning my 2003 GT Premium vert, it's time for an older Stang. (bought a 1973 vert Mach I clone).

Anywy, I'm curious what would be a good price to sell the 03?

2003 GT Premium Convert, Torch Red/black top, 5 speed
Original owner
Stricty adult driven and never abused
Currently at 99,700 miles and going in next week for tune up and whatever needs to be looked at and replaced. I don't want to sell it with work needed.
Otherwise the stang has been serviced as needed. Oil changed every 5000 miles
Tremac 3650 was changed with update from dealer at 42,000 (if you recall, there's along thread here about the tranny being notchy when cold between 2-3 gears. Since swap , it runs as it should)
Custom front grill (no coral around mustang horse).
Sequential taillights
Dark Leather interior, with no rips or tears. Very little wear on drivers seat and none on passenger front and rear. Actually I don't think anyone has ever sat in the back.
Upgraded OEM stereo with 6 CD player
Aftermarket Parrot CK3000 bluetooth build in
Have the factory trunk net and boot cover which is still in the factory wrappings.
Tires in great shape.

The paint shines great, with no rust on car. Car has never been in an accident. Paint is all original from factory. There is one small scratch on hood that's been touched up. The front two rims have curb scratches on them. But not horrible. There's a small discoloration on the passenger door panel. Never knew how that happened.

Otherwise, everything else works as it should.

For a 10+ year old stang, she's in great shape and has many good years ahead of her.

Not looking for the highest price, but just a fair price. I can do some pictures over the weekend if that would really help set a price.

Thanks

K

I do not see any adders or subtractors to value so whatever nada.com says for retail value. If super clean maybe add 500-1000 bucks to nada retail price. Engine and drivetrain is stock right? No cheesey body mods?

Yeah, I would agree it should fall in line with an NADA or KBB value. While you might be able to get more if you hold firm and find the right buyer (ie: sucker), you'll likely sit on it for a while. Nothing to special or unique, and your mods aren't adding to the value.

Don't think my very minor mods would add money to the car, just additional flavor and believe me, whomever buys my car will not be a sucker. They'll be getting a 2003 GT vert in great shape.

Not the best pics, but here are two pics in the garage. With snow on the ground the Mustang isn't coming out. The steering wheel is not off centered, but the tires are turned when I pulled the car in.

Those here who said NADA prices. Were you thinking the clean retail or clean trade in? Even though this will be a private sale.

Wow!!! That's really a lot higher than I thought. I was figuring about $8000 to maybe $9000.

KBB has it at $8700 under very good condition.

So if I price it around $8700, maybe it will sell quicker.

Thanks

Well kbb tends to be a little high that is why I said nada. But yeah start high and negotiate. Selling private party can be a hassle. Make tire kickers bring a copy of their driver's license and insurance card and if you have to charge them $25 to test drive it applied to the price if bought and non ing refundable if not. If they want it cash deal done at your bank is the best way.

You said KBB tends to be high. NADA was a little over $10,000.

It would be cool if you could just keep both. Have a little old and a little new. You know, whatever the day calls for. Good luck with your sale. Shouldn't be hard, thats a well kept vehicle.

I could arrange that, right after my wife divorces me.

Here's a pic from the seller. Hopefully Stang is being picked up on Wed and I'll get her over the weekend. Once received I'll be having the NASA hood center painted black and adding front and rear black spoilers, plus changing the rims to either Magnum 500's or American Racing Torq Thrust D (very old school). (HMMM??? pic didn't show for me, but I was able to click on link).

Piss me off. The Mach460 system has been working great since day 1. Now I'm getting CD Error and from reading, looks like it's a common problem.
