Hi All,
My 2003 Mustang GT Convertible ABS and Trac Control light are both on. I have a zurich scanner that tests ABS, however the scanner can't connect.

Is this typically an indication of a bad ABS module unit? Where should I start to troubleshoot this?

Thanks

Could be as simple as a wheel sensor.

you’ll need to pull the code and see what the ABS module is showing as an error.

My scanner can't connect, which leads me to believe it's a bad ABS module - how can I troubleshoot the module?

I recently fought ABS demons with help from http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/brakes/abs98Diag.html. The site provides tests to perform with just a multimeter at the ABS module connector and links to illustrations of the pin number layout. I ended up sending my ABS module off for repair. My ABS light stayed on constantly and the TC lights never lit. Now everything works well.

Who do you send it off to?

I sent it to Matt (I think that is his name) at http://www.cheap-abs.com but it doesn't look like you can order from him right now. His site just states that he'll reopen Labor Day 9/8/2020 but I think that day has long passed...
I think you can find him on Facebook as Cheap ABS, Inc. but I don't Facebook so I can't confirm. He's in Kansas and I paid something like $140 including shipping.
