Whenever it rains, I get water under the rear seats in the back and on the floor a tiny bit if it rains hard enough on the driver side I plugged up all the holes on the floor on the driver side, but I’m still getting a little tiny bit on the floor, but most of the water is developing underneath the rear seat in the convertible on both sides Underneath the seat. Where is the water coming from most likely I feel that if I stop the water from getting in under the rear seat that I won’t have any more problems.

Hows your convertible top condition? Hows the seals where the top meets the car looking around the backseat area? Hows the convertible top window condition and the stitching/seals around that?

Interesting little fact. SN95 Convertibles are designed to dump water into the interior, and then drain that water out. The back of the top area has no drainage, so the top is designed to create a little "moat" that channels the water all the way around and dumps it down into a pocket under the rear quarter windows.

Water pours off the top and down into these pockets roughly here

There is a drain for each pocket. One on each side. Just ahead of the rear tire. it's really just a fold in the spot-welded sheetmeter, and not a tube

Roughly the area you will find the drains under the pockets

You need to clear these. Pipe cleaners work but compressed air shooting up might be better. Problem is if they are full of crud and leaves, it will clog up again. In that care you need to pull the interior panels and the rear speaker pod area out and get in under the window and clean the pocket up.

When these don't drain properly, the water fills the pocket and flows out behind the rear seat into the passenger footwell area. It can also flow up the side floor channels and flow out under under the doors into the carpet area.

You might notice water flowing from these areas if you pull up the carpet

Questions:

On S197 convertibles, the top has a "rain skirt" that is supposed to be positioned into a channel different than the bottom skirt of convertible top.

Are SN95s the same? And if so, has the position of the rain skirt been verified?

I only mention it because it's a common for those cars.
