2004 3.9 v6 7.5 rear swap to 8.8 or 9 "

is an older 8.8 an easy swap? what ring gear would be best 3.55- 3.73 what about 3.90 or 4.10? this car already has 17 inch wheel/tires, dual flow master exhuast with no H or X pipe not sure if thats a good thing or not. Has what appears to be an SR cold air intake... motorcraft platinum plugs and msd wires. trying to get info on what i should do next to get the most out of this v6 . lower controls? hurst shifter? any engine mods? way down the road i'll toss in a 347 with a maximum motorsport k member
