Hows this baby handle? I've heard a lot of good things about this car. Has anyone driven or purchased a 350Z before? The car can come fully loaded with a 7 speaker bose audio system and DVD navigation, has anyone used any of this technology before? How did it turn out with the car? What do you think the auto Z could run in the 1/4?

i think you're asking in the wrong forum. no flame intended.

i think they pull the high 13 in the 1/4. they look really refined and nice in my opinion. the exterior takes a bit to grow on to, but once you see the car up close you can really appreciate it.

I hear they dont have as much power as talked about. Unless your willing to put money into it then hell ya get it and make it fast, but why pick that car when you can hook up any car? Anyway I hear that the new RX-8 is quicker and actually talked to a guy with a couple mods on his 350Z and he was trading it in to get a RX-8 because even with his couple mods he said it really wasnt doing much more horse power wise so he was kind of upset.

Horsepower @ RPM 238@8500(rx8) | 287@6200(350Z)
Torque @ RPM 159@5500(rx8) | 274@4800(350Z)

RX8 isn't quicker. Not unless it weighs 1500 lbs...

If you wernt reading I stated that a 350Z owner told me the specs were bull**** and the car wasnt as fast as it should have been. He said the RX-8 could be faster after a few mods, but with his 350Z his mods really didnt do jack. If your just looking at the specs well I guess your right, but if you actually drove both cars then you would really know...

By the way, if the RX-8 is faster then I can take both of these cars with my v6 stock(through traffic). I've smoked the **** out of some black rx-8 through traffic the guy couldnt touch me. And he made the first cut into traffic after reving at me.

The 350's are nice, and I think the auto will do the 1/4 in about 14secs. They do have great eye appeal, and are much faster than the RX 8's. I drove one a couple of months back (6speed), and it had a some pretty good pick up.

That is the DUMBEST thing I've ever read. You put innocent lives at risk because of your behavior. Hopefully sometime soon, Darwin comes for you.

I hate to say it but the Z is slow. For some reason they keep trying to race me in my coupe but never seem to win. Sorta sad when a near stock $2000 pos destroys a brand new $30000 car. Nice i guess but slow. Just get a twin turbo 300zx instead . Better looking, faster and cheaper.

Here's some info for the Track model of the 350Z... compared to the RX-8.

350Z RX-8

curb weight: 3225 3029
0-60: 5.3 6.0
1/4 mile: 13.77@100.94 14.49@95.47
100-0: 318 318
200ft Skidpad: .87 .87

From the testing I found... They seem to be pretty close in handling. Someone else gave Power figures, so it's not hard to tell who would out accelerate who, with close drivers. The newer Mazdaspeed RX-8 doesn't raise power, it just seems to make the car handle better.

I think the Touring model is a step below the Track one, so performance would be lessened. Also, I would guess low 14's with the car you mentioned.
