2004 with 1000mi ac not working

brand new the ac really wasnt that cold. today i pop the hood and the compressor is turning on and off. is there a known leak somewhere? is this common?

Take it back to the dealer and don't worry about it. It being a 2004 I wouldn't sweat it.

A/c should cycle on and off, but if it ain't blowing cold, take it back.

the a/c cycle switch seems to be a common problem... thats my guess!

when i turn the car on and put it on max ac the compressor spins for like 10 seconds stops for like 20 seconds spins for 10 etc. it is def. a problem. i will call them today and see if they can fit me in around the hurricane.

exact same thing, they found the seal in the compressor was leaking, so they replaced that and it's ice cold now!!!!

how many miles were on the car when this happened? thats what i was thinking. the freon leaked out and is tripping the pressure switch.

I got the car on Feb. 1st and it only had 2800 miles on it when I took it in last week. So it's probably never worked, I just recently noticed it. I only drive it on cool sunny days, so I had never really used the air.

Just take it in and they should fix it, no questions asked...besides, It's under warranty. Only thing your out is a little time.
