For those who are interested in such things ...

The redfire 2005 Mustang GT has been spotted in the Seattle area at the Edgewater Hotel. So hopefully that means Ford will be bringing it to the roundup this weekend. Another reason to go! And if Ford is true to form, I'm guessing they'll also have the legend lime V6 along.

I have got a digital camera and a video camera for this weekend. I should have PLENTY of pics by the end of it.

I may grab an extra memory card for my camera. Maybe they'll let you start it up and get video of it running. I want to hear it in person, sounded pretty good on the videos I've seen.

I was talking to Keith a bit ago, and suggested that between the two of us, we might be able to take it for a spin. Create a diversion, beat the keys out of the Ford guy, and run like hell. Now wouldn't *that* be a car chase! I could be immortal. Sure, Razor has already done it, but he didn't do it with a pre-production 2005 Mustang GT

Definately. Not sure that getting me in that car would be a good idea (They may not get me out).I plan on being there from openning. I have 3 hours of video tape. And If I can get the cord. I may bring a laptop to store pics. Yes I am a bit obsessive.

Read the second to the last post. StangNet must have several servers, and the times are not synchronized -- I posted *after* you did, but it shows up before your post...

I could then film the chase in car with the video camera. Hope it has a full tank. I'll bring the radar detector (in case we get away).
Maybe I could leave my keys so they wouldn't notice if we left quitely.

Hey now, I said I'd "pretend" to be your hostage for the news cameras.

I like the idea of SVTdriver filming it from a chase car. With all of the digi and vidi cams at the show it would be the most thoroughly documented car theft of all time.

You’d be a legend Dave.

No I mean I would want to be in the passenger seat hanging out the window filming. I want to feel the thing accelerate. But you could drive my car with my brother and chase behind us. With another video camera and the 2-way radios. Yeah definately couldn't get away with the old "It wasn't me" excuse.

It would almost be worth going to jail to be a legend... but I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with being a legend in my own mind...

You'd probably be banned from any further mustang shows. After you got out.

For the Portland members, it seems that the '05 Mustang will be down here on the 3rd of August, according to this thread:

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=3500

I'd guess that this will be the same torch red GT that was at the show up in Bellevue. I think I might swing by to see it again, hopefully it'll be open this time and I can sit in it. Plus, that's only about three blocks from where I work, so why not...

Take some good pics of the interior if you can. It's on a tuesday I think. So I won't be able to make the drive down.
