All right, I'm new to this lovely sanction of pony lovers, so please go easy on me... I am looking for aftermarket superchargers to put on what will be my new GT. I have seen web chatter from ford performance and VORTEC about a bolt-on s/charger. My question to the wise: Is there any reason not to add a bolt-on supercharger other than voiding the warranty? Please dont hold back. I also posted a link to a picture with a s/charger installed on the new engine.
Also, I have been feverishly surfing all the sites waiting for updated aftermarket product lists to be posted. I currently have Magnaflow and Steeda. If anyone else has a good source where I can browse some new stuff please let me and everyone else know.
Thanks to all, I have learned a lot here and this place is great... I hope to be able to bring some good stuff to the table soon! -BOBBY

SUPERCHARGER on STOCK 4.6L V-8 2005 MUSTANG GT

well i know just as much about mustangs as the rock laying outside anyones house

but id assume one main problem with going for the bolt on ASAP, is that once u start adding mods, problems begin. or atleast problems will occur faster.
Also i wouldn't jump right into it, i would wait it out, becuase within the next few months, companies should be popping out performance parts left and right, maybe better mods for a cheaper price.

And if you have no problem fixing any problems that occur and are impatient like most, i dont see any problem with bolting on a supercharger. if anything i would encourage it. so when u get up to an out of town stanger, in his red 05, and ur in your black 05........... you can spank him.

adding a supercharger can be safe as long as the boost is kept low and the tune is a "safe tune"!! dont forget that the stock internals are very weak so your best bet would be to build a forged bottom end first then add the blwer
