Is r23 compatible with the 06?

I know it is compatible with an 05 as I loaded r23 and a Custom Tune yesterday morning in my vehicle. No CEL, Failsafe or trouble codes.

Firmware update R23 was released to add newly released CALID from Ford, as well as to add the 2005 Mustang V6 and 2006 Mustang GT applications.

FYI: Firmware update R22 was released to add new CALID as well.

Ford releases new CALID updates on a regular basis, for many reasons, mostly emissions related, but it can vary. We review these updates and make new calibrations when needed.

We also use firmware updates to add new Predator features and applications. We do this for free, and feel it is an important part of what makes our product unique and desirable.

Of course others will copy DiabloSport, but this is the greatest form of flattery.

I heard that Diablo is headquartered in Fla. So does that mean your tunes will run better in my car than if I lived out in NV? Where at in FLA, a tour of your facilities would be nice, or could yall personally tune my car, that is when it shows up?

We have two facilities in WPB, our manufacturing facility is in Boca Raton, and our DiabloSport Performance Tuning Division is down the road in Delray Beach.

Please e-mail me where you are located and we can see about the tour. I can not schedule the tuning as we generally are booked well in advance for dyno time. Our dyno is used for development work and is rarely used for general tuning for a fee.

Sounds like you have a 2006 on the way; there is always the possibility of using the vehicle to BETA test if it fits the situation.

Hi Nick,

I downloaded the new firmware upgrade for my 05 Predator to R23. However when I hooked up to my 06 GT the Predator said my vehicle could not be recognized and I should have my dealer perform a free download of a new CALID? Is this common? What are your thoughts?

The 2006 Mustang GT CALID is changing. We check to see that we had them all covered when we did our 2006 GT release, and we did. That was then; Ford will generate new CALID as they produce vehicles, possibly to correct some small issue in the calibration or for many other reasons beyond our control.

This is why you see periodic firmware updates for new CALID releases from Ford. When you take a vehicle into the dealer for any reason they run a check in WDS and see if your vehicle needs these updates and if so they do it and you do not even know.

We offer these updates as soon as they are available from Ford and we check weekly. I understand this is not the best answer but we ask that you are patient; we will have the updated CALID up as fast as we can.

I've tried to find this information elsewhere but have come up confused.

Can I use a apple computer to update my predator?

is SCT compatible with mac?

I only have an apple.... does that mean I couldn't update my tuner? I've never had one before, so I don't know if this is something you do often, sorry for the basic questions

Well I found out from another thread on another forum that the new DiabloSport update for the 06 GT is out...

Uploaded the 91 octane tune and took it for a test drive. Makes a much needed improvement in driveability and WOT is even better. Long wait for the update, but it was worth it.
