Okay guys, I need your help. My 2007 mustang GT has been acting up lately. Out of the last 100 times I've tried to start it, it's turned on about 5 times. I think it might have something to do with the clutch or wiring not sending anything but I'm not sure. Any advice or suggestions?

What have you done as far as diagnostics?

Is your CEL on? Does it run rough after start up/driving? Any maintenance done before/after it started acting up?

No CEL isn't on and it runs perfectly fine. I haven't done any Maintenance on it yet. I just got the car about 5 months ago from dealership. Funny thing is, just right now it started 7 out of 7 times, no problem. Still don't know if I should take it to work or not because I'm not trying to pay for a tow truck if it decides to not start again.

No the security light appears for 3 seconds and then disappears afterwards when I switch the ignition to the 3 position so that's normal according to the manual.

I would give everything in the engine bay a good once over and double check electrical connections and hoses.

Sounds like neutral safety switch may be starting to fail. I'd look up test procedures for it and see what happens.

When it doesn't "turn on" as you say what does it do? Nothing at all like your trying to start without the clutch pushed in or does it crank no start? Let's start there unless your already fixed. Also how many miles, etc.
