Hey guys, I'm installing the MWG shifter, and I'm having problems getting the center console out. The video makes it look incredibly easy, but it's not working out so well when I try it Any advice?
Im just one of the 111. Im looking for the answer to. The vidio I saw was very poor on details. I havent tried the install yet cause I cant get under my car yet. But I have tried to lift the consol and Im affraid its going to break something!!!!!

There are a lot of people on this site. I guess none of them have replaced their shifter..... or they paid some one to do it.....or just dont care to help.

Just grab opposite corners (one front and back) from the inner sides where the leather boot is and pull/wiggle it a bit. You won't break it, then grab the opposite sides and do the same. It helps to open the cupholder cover and the rear storage area too. Pull up near the parking brake and around the cupholder too. That won't be the only annoying part either. Enjoy!
