Please don't tell me you wanna slap one of those on a Fox ... or any other car that isn't actually a genuine Shelby, for that matter.
I want one to put on my wall....what's wrong with that?
"Technically" the GT500 is not a genuine Shelby, that end of things is purely marketing on that particular car. Shelby GT's are genuine, though.
You are correct but I would rather have a GT500 than a Shelby GT.
i didn't know there was a difference and i helped handbuild one at work
Don't forget that at the time Ford was building Fox Mustangs, Shelby was tuning Dodges...with stickers
what did you help handbuild? I am confused. Unless you work for the Autoalliance factory or for Shelby, that is...
The Shelby GT is a Mustang GT that goes to Shelby in Las Vegas and receives suspension mods, a chip, cold air, shifter and exhaust. Also the cosmetic mods such as billet grille and hood scoop...
The GT500 is completely produced on an assembly line, mass production style. Shelby never actually touches it.
It is really not just a name...if your car has nothing to do with being a Shelby, there is no reason for it to say Shelby on it...
Don't forget that at the time Ford was building Fox Mustangs, Shelby was tuning Dodges...with stickers
Where would you put it anyway??
Hell, the GT500 snakes are bigger than an entire Fox Mustang.
minus stupid.Don't put false emblems on your car, only ricers do that. If your car is not a Shelby then don't put the badge on.
