2011 Brakes question.

What's with the front rotors being smaller then the rear? is that a typo?

All I saw was 14" front rotors, did not see anything about the rears, however if that is true a larger rear rotor would be used for more anti-dive control of the nose

Frts. are 13.2", rears are 11.8". The 14" rotor is an optional Brembo (GT 500) package that requires 19" wheels.

I thought I read somewhere the fronts were smaller because they were vented whereas the rear were not...could be mistaken though.

The specs I posted are from the GT spec sheet; maybe you were reading about the 6-banger but I've never heard of putting smaller rotors up front.

•For 2011, Mustang GT adds specially tuned Electric Power Assist Steering (EPAS), 11.5-inch front and 11.8-inch rear vented disc brakes, and an enhanced suspension featuring an improved rear lower control arm and stiffened rear stabilizer bushings

That's what I was reading on that link. It sounded like a disaster I'm sure that has to be some kind of mistake.

80% of braking power is the responsibility of the front brakes.
