Just got finished removing the rocker stripes on my 2011 V6. They came off real easy with just a heat gun, pull up a corner with your fingernail and apply steady pressure/heat. Took about 10 minutes to get them all off. I've only had the car a week, so it made it way easier. No sticky residue either.
Once removed just wiped the area with some alcohol and then put some wax where the stripe was.
