It's always tough getting burned! All you need to do is remember that chrome piece in the Summer. Give it a couple months and it'll cool off for you.

Stay away from Big Gulp's! Seriously, most of our vehicle's are built like this.

Us guys with automatics usually drive with one hand and rest the other. Resting your arm on the console gets quite uncomfortable after a while not to mention the impressions it leaves on your skin. Are you an elbow model? "Ignore my elbow impressions, please," supercoup93 shouted. They'll go away after time. I do feel you on being more comfortable, though. Please let us all know if you find any; has your dealer checked for you?

Agree with the issue, rarely use the cupholders because of location and I lock my console to keep from opening it with my elbow. I've seen leather covers with padding for 2009 and earlier; wish someone would wake up and do the same for the 2010+, my elbow would be thankful...

Perhaps it's hard to manufacture a padded protector for our lid. Nevertheless, please share it on Ford Social too: http://social.ford.com/.
