Coming up on 8k and will be going in for an oil change/filter and tire rotation.
Dealer gives a free 1st oil change, so I'm putting in MOBIL 1- Extended. Dealer said if I provide the oil, no charge for the filter or the work.
Question #1 On the tire rotation. Using a tread depth gage, I'm getting very even wear across the tread both front and back . . .with almost the same depth on the front and back. If this is the case, why should I rotate the tires? Only spirited driving with no rubber left behind. Tire pressure cold; 37F, 36R.
Question #2 If at a later date,I want to rotate the tires myself, what's the story with the TPMS's. A dealer told me if you move the wheel to a different position, the TPMS have to be re-calibrated or you throw codes.
