2014 Gt Between 4k - 5k Rpms

I was wondering if Ford did what Mopar has done with their muscle cars. For the first 1.5K miles, the computer pulls some timing and phase the camshaft a bit to reduce power at a certain RPM range. Apparently in an effort to properly break in the engine.

Does FORD pull the same stunt. My new '14 GT pulls find 'til 4K then it kinda peter's out... The car doesn't have even 300 miles on it yet....

It definitely pulls timing when the engine is cold. Feels flat until the engine hits normal operating temperature.

Being we're not driving we can't tell but the factory tune does suck ass. You barely do actual full throttle when you mash the gas, if you floor it from stand still you only really get 3/4 TB opening at a certain RPM for a small amount of time it will creep to full open then close back to 3/4 as you approach redline. That's why aftermarket tunes really wake the cars up.
