I just purchased this last week, and I am looking to remove and paint the chrome surrounding the tail lamps. I took it to an auto body shop, and said it could not be done. I have searched all over and maybe I am not googling it correctly, BUT...
Does anyone know how to remove those so they can be painted??? Help!!!

Why would you *want* to do that? The chrome was specifically added as a throw back to the 64.
However, I'm sure that some of the addon makers will come up with covers that would change the color.

I'm not a fan of chrome on the taillights either, looks out of place with rest of the car.

I am a fan of the 64' Mustang, and even though I appreciate Ford paying homage to that year, it just looks out of place like Madweaz said. Also, I am just not a fan of Chrome anything...
