Hi all. Proud new owner of a 2017 GT Performance Pack Manual. I bought it used with 7,700 miles on it. I test drove a new one before I bought this one and while the clutch was firm, it wasn't crazy hard. On the one I ended up buying, the clutch is extremely firm. I noticed it immediately on the test drive, but being under full factory warranty I figured I could get it fixed if it was an issue. I just wanted to get some feedback from some owners before I take it in to the dealership on your clutch experience. Do you think something is wrong? Or should it be this firm? My leg gets tired after driving for 20 minutes or so. I have a jeep wrangler manual and s2000 manual and the Honda is about a 2-10 on the firmness, wrangler is 6-10 and GT is 9-10 on the scale. I just can't imagine it should feel this firm. If there isn't something wrong, what is the best way to lighten it? Any tricks, or will I need to replace something. I love the car, and I'm more than willing to invest a little to make it better.

I bought a Steeda replacement spring, and while it made the engagement point better, it actually stiffened up the clutch even more.

Thanks for any replies!

The best thing to do is try another car if you know some one who has one. Or take a ride over to dealership and tell them what the deal is and ask them if you can try depressing the clutch of another car. The Steeda spring will make the clutch stiffer, that is what it does. if you do determine that the clutch is stiffer than it should be I would put the original spring back in before you bring it to the dealership for service. If they some how notice the spring was changed they will likely aattribute your issue to that and probably charge you for their diagnostic time.

Thanks for the advise. I was under the impression that the Steeda spring would lighten the pedal feel, but it actually made it even heavier.
