Window shopping again.

I already drive a manual, but am intrigued by the newer automatics. I've been driving the wife's car more lately running errands, and am finding I enjoy not having to worry about shifting.

For me, the 10A has been a bit of a letdown. Not exactly a smooth operator.

I've been hearing about issues with the 10 speed in the trucks also.

Personally- I know new manuals are great and all, but I STILL find myself wishing I had a stick in my truck. It just always seems more difficult to get it to do what I want it to do.

As much as I like the concept of the new A10, I think i'd still get a stick. It's not like I drag race from every single stoplight

The revised mt82 has issues as well. The autos go fast as frig, guy local here has one with a mail order e85 tune and runs 11.7s @120 on the stock tires.

I drove manual transmission cars for 20 years-Pontiac Grand Prix 2.8 and 3.8 Mustang so I've decided the AT's are the way to go for me. I lucked out with the arrival of the 7,8,9 and 10 speed autos coming on line. I haven't been an owner of a car with one of these new trannys but I liked my recent experience with a rental Ecoboost Mustang while on vacay. One day sometime in the future I'll own one.
