hi everyone,

I recently bought a 89 5.0 and I wasn't told the car had 24lb injectors or a upgraded maf.. so the question is I looked and found that I have a stock maf with 24lb injectors.. is there any way to find out if I have a 93 cobra eec? the car runs great and I don't notice any richness while driving. no sputtering or misfiring.

Does this eec have a chip plugged in?

Post a pic of the MAF, if you can. If they were mis-matched, you'd know for sure. The car would not run as well as yo say it does. Can't see the chip in that pic, either.

It looks like a stock maf. But on the injectors they are chrome/silver with black tops saying 24/lbs car idles fine and doesn't show any signs of richness. (Black smoke/ unburnt fuel) no stuttering.

Reman stock ecu, and maf (at least the sensor), for #19 injectors. Have you checked to see if you have a chip plugged into the back of the ecu?

Not yet I pulled the kick panel off and just looked at it. So if I pull it out I can tell if it's been chipped?

Thanks for the links!also I called a strictly mustang performance shop about my situation. Told me not to worry about it until it shows symptoms of excessive fuel.
