2500 hd

My dad just bought a 2006 2500 hd and asked me if i knew any way to claibrate the speedo on the truck ( he just put some 285's on it) i dont know how its done on these trucks is it a programer or what?

More than likely a chip or programmer is needed

dont bother. just get someone with a correct speedometer to ride beside him on the interstate doing 70 and see wht his registers.

my xterra is 5 mph off with the 265/75/16's on it. i just remember to add 5 mph to my speed.

you actually put less miles on it the way it is now also

But it messes up the odometer.


I don't know about you, but i wouldn't want to buy a truck that has 60K miles on it and really has 70K miles.


There are tire calculators that will tell you how much it will be off.
