Don't mind @Noobz347 , he's in denial that he reads at a 1st grade level (which may be an insult to 1st graders)

I noticed that, but didn't want to be too insulting...at first. "Hooked On Phonics" works wonders, I hear.

Note: It has never been proven that I read at a 1st grade level.

The test results were inconclusive.

Heh... I'll take that last hit but I've also removed it from public view.

I shot first. My mistake, moving on.

You will discover if you are here long enough, that you need assistance within the forum, that we'll cross paths again. All these other guys know that. I view more threads through the course of a day than most folks do in a year. It's part of why I become a best friend to a lot of folks that frequent these forums.

Let's not get off on the wrong foot because I skimmed through thread too quickly. Now is the time you establish YOUR reputation.

I felt you came at me unfairly...I simply asked a question...but i get attitude...some guy saying I need to drive a bowtie... I've had many Chevy's.but I don't see what that has to do with anything. I hope this isn't the way all new people are treated. If so, all that will be here is old people.

You didn't get attitude, you got a general smart*ss reply by one of the more intelligent people here.

Get past it, there are lots of guys with real serious knowledge here.

A forum isn't a place you are coming to as a customer waiting to be served. You were asking for specifics on a car and you listed a price for that car.

Be patient with the replies, what you want will come around. When you put a dollar figure in with your question, you should realize you will get opinions on that as well. The people here have bought and sold butt loads of fox bodies. They have a good idea on values.

You'll get opinions on value based choices and high end builds as well.

So, ease up, try to see this as a group of gear heads that, in general, have fun with one another, but mostly can help you fix or modify anything you might think to do in the future on your car.

Be one of the guys, not someone that thinks we are here to serve you. You'll have a good time and end up much more intelligent, at least concerning mustangs.

I didn't read Mike's whole replay but pretty much what he said. I razzed him for a couple of months because his images would post upside down. hehe

There's a bunch of knuckle draggers and shade tree mechanics in here. You really can't expect anything less. We talk about each other's moms too.

Hopefully you can get passed a couple people giving you a hard time and move passed it. A couple of these guys came at you unfairly and Noobz has now apologized so let's move on.

Looks like you made a great decision by passing up the over priced 4 banger vert fox and scooping up the 01' vert. All you need now is a pretentious hat and you'll fit in around here (inside joke).

Good luck bro. All joking aside this is a great site with a lot of helpful and knowledgable people, well, I can only vouche for the Fox section.

One other small note:

I do on RARE occasions, screw something up.

(No comments from the peanut gallery. The Squeaky Wheel incident was not my doing )

Here is what I wound up with...I know this isn't the right place for this era Mustang..but..under the circumstances... It is the right place this time...

$4300...and I'm NOT ASKING ABOUT VALUE, just saying how much I paid.

I fell for it on the test drive before I made it half a mile.
I'm happy.
