So, all the tread on my tires mysteriously disapperared.....Im in need of new tires so Im just going to get new ones all the way around. Right now the car has 275/35/18 Toyo Proxes up front and 315/30/18 BFG drag radials in the back. As hot as the 315s look, drag radials for a dd suck ballz in the rain. So, Im going with 295 KDW2's out back and either 265 or 275 BFG G-Force Sports up front.

I know most of you will say 275s, but the Proxes (275) I have on now rub my inner fender from time to time, especially in reverse. Ive heard BFG's run a bit wider than most other brands, so I was leaning towards 265's.

So, give me your thoughts and stuff.

O'Helty Rules!

265's are perfect for the front. I dont see a need to go any wider. I love my KDW2's, especially more then the Nittos I used to run. Those sucked in the rain to me. They made me feel like I was floating all over the road. The KDW's on the other hand grip like crazy. The best tires I have ever had IMO. I wish they made them in 315 though. Its hard to find afordable 315's other then drag radials. How are drag radials? I have never had any.

235/40's seem to be the perfect fit for my 18x9's. I run a 285 on the 18x10's out back. I don't like the balloon-tire effect.

wait till you hit hte curb then youll wish you had the balloon effect

The tires have that guard to protect the lip of the rim from curb rash. My wheels don't have a scratch on them. Like I said - they fit perfectly (not too much, not too little) :nice: Now when I first got these wheels, I put a 265 on the rears... THAT was not enough tire, but there wasn't a wider one in the tires I ordered and I like my tires to match. :nonono:

Lesson learned the hard way.

I'd say 265's.....not that big of a size difference and you shouldn't have the rubbing issues since you barely had them with 275's. Its the meat in the back that really matters! The only thing the front is good for is turning, and who cares about that!

BTW..... I found your used rubber in the parking lot. It was all black, might want to get that checked out.:D

you have tires that are narrower than the stock tires (which come on a 8inch rim) on a 9 inch rim? That just doesnt look good to me.

235's come factory on some Porsches with 9" front wheels. I thought it sounded insane too, until I saw it mounted. I wouldn't go any wider than a 245 on a 9" wheel in front. A 255 buldges too much for my taste, but alot of guys like the tire buldge... Its purely preference unless you are on a road course. I like to use this pic as an example of how tires should fit - but, again its preference:
