Thinking about ordering Pony R's for the 90..I want 17x10 in the rear and was wondering if I would have to flip quads / roll fender to fit 285's?

i'm going to have to say they're not going to fit without mods. i have 275's on 9" cobras, with stock suspension, and mine rub the fender lips under hard bumps and hard cornering. i also had to cut the dust shields off my KYB quads so they wouldn't rub.

I have 18x10s with 285s...

Fenders rolled, quads gone, and on real sharp angles they still hit the inner fenders...

I have the BFG street tires on Welds in 295 and just a hint of rub on the inside.

I have 275's on mine with 17x9 Cobra R's and FMS "B" springs(no quad shocks). No rubbing anywhere. 285's would easily fit on mine.

I used to have 285 series BFG street tires on an 8.5" wheel. Fit without modifications, but would rub if you go too fast over a bumb or something.
Although the 275 series drag radials i put on next were wider than the 285's.

thats because the 8.5" rim rounded the tire more where the tire was so wide and the rim was skinny
