When getting a stroker shortblock built. What are the advantages/disadvantages of a 28oz vs. 50oz balancer? Stock 5.0 is a 50oz right?

i listed them in order from worst to best. The lowest number you can balance it to is better. most people go to 28oz because of the weight savings. people zero balance it when every single rpm counts.

Is zero balancing safe for a street car that see track time on the weekends? Or is zero balancing for track cars only?

Like he said, the lower the better. If your building a cast steel crank stroker kit, you are doing 28oz.

I believe so.... if i remember right, you can just stick a 50oz balancer on your car with no problem, but if you get a 28oz, you have to have everything balanced to 28oz
