My mechanic finally figured out all of the bugs and got the engine started. I picked it up an hour ago and what a difference!!!
I did the 4v swap in my 99 GT, but added a few small goodies...I obviously the XCal to take off the PATS...put 4.10 gears in, with the pulleys and the air intake, etc etc. Its like a whole new car. I'll post some pictures up after I get all of the shop dust off of it and would be glad to post any information about what I used/needed to pull the swap off. But for now, I will be driving...

I don't have any numbers on it yet (I just got it back) but this is the timeframe/price, etc.
I kinda of had a unique situation, as it took over a month just to get the engine (court action pending). But once it was in the shop, it took about a month to get done. Granted, there was a lot of in between time, waiting for parts, etc.
My mechanic charged me $2500 for the swap, including the price for the rear-end (gears, diff, etc). The engine cost $5000, but it was new and I didn't have a core, so I guess that number might be a little misleading.
All in all, the hardest part was the wiring (and the most time consuming). Most everything else swapped over, including the pulleys and my TA.
I swapped the ECU, the MAF and the Hood. Everything else hooked up. AS soon as I can, I will take some pics and get some numbers for everyone.
If there are any specific ?'s please keep them coming. I know how frustrated I was before I was finished so feel free to ask!

Its not the parts that concerns me, its the wiring... do you have to modify the stock harness? Im looking to do a 4v swap myself..

careful with the underdrive pullies, the are notorious for shattering even billet oil pump gears from harmonics.

they are not recommended for 4v at high revvs.
seriously look into it. a few hp is not worth it.

I've read threads in the past where swappers used the GT computer (which did need programming though).
